Southern Thailand Trip. Day 3: Phattalung

Our adventure in Hatyai continues on the third day with a visit to the picturesque Thale Noi, a river basin located in the topmost part of Songkhla Lake. This hidden gem is a paradise for bird enthusiasts and nature lovers alike.

To fully immerse ourselves in the beauty of Thale Noi, we hopped on a cruise at Long-Tail Boat Pier. As we glided through the calm waters, we were greeted by an array of different bird species that call this place home. The Bird Watching Park provided us with an opportunity to observe these magnificent creatures up close while surrounded by stunning water lilies in the Red Lotus Lake.













Nestled amidst lush greenery lies Khao Chaison Hot Spring—a tranquil oasis offering relaxation and rejuvenation like no other. This natural wonder boasts both hot and cold natural springs, perfect for soothing aching muscles and refreshing the mind.

Mischievous macaques greeted us at Khao Chaison Hot Spring, adding a touch of playfulness to our experience. As they swung from tree branches and interacted with visitors, their charm captivated us. It was a delightful encounter that brought smiles to our faces.

Eager to unwind, we dipped our feet into the hot and cold natural springs. The therapeutic properties of these mineral-rich waters worked wonders on our weary bodies. We also discovered that Khao Chaison Hot Spring offers free admission, making it an affordable option for relaxation seekers.

For those seeking additional pampering, healing massages are available at an incredibly reasonable price of 120 baht per hour. 



After resting in the afternoon, our foodie adventure in Hatyai continues with a visit to Big C Supermarket. Known as one of the largest supermarket chains in Thailand, this is the perfect place for us to hunt for local snacks to bring back home. 

We traveled to Big C via a tuk-tuk.





Our journey through Hatyai wouldn't be complete without indulging in some fresh seafood delights. And there's no better place than Khlonghae Seafood Buffet—a haven for seafood lovers seeking an all-you-can-eat extravaganza!

Rows upon rows of mouthwatering seafood dishes beautifully displayed on ice beds greet us as we enter the restaurant. The options seem endless, ranging from succulent prawns and juicy crabs to tender fish fillets cooked in various styles.

As we fill ourselves with one delectable dish after another, it's hard not to appreciate the generous portions and quality ingredients that Khlonghae Seafood Buffet has to offer. The attentive staff ensures that our dining experience is nothing short of exceptional.





As we settled into our cozy beds, memories of Thale Noi's birdwatching park, indulging in delectable local cuisine at the night market, and relaxing at Khao Chaison Hot Spring danced through our minds. Our adventure had been filled with unforgettable experiences that truly showcased the beauty and charm of Phattalung.

Tomorrow, we would continue our exploration of this captivating city, discovering more hidden gems and immersing ourselves in its vibrant culture. But for now, it was time to drift off into a peaceful slumber, eagerly anticipating what tomorrow had in store.

Indian Ocean Escapade. Day 1: Kuala Lumpur - Malé, Maldives

Our trip to Malé, Maldives, was a mix of excitement and relaxation. From smooth flights to scenic speedboat rides, we had a wonderful time exploring Maafushi Island. This journey gave us peaceful sunsets, tasty meals, and the chance to soak up the beauty of this tropical paradise.  We started our journey early in the morning at Terminal 1, Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KUL). Our flight was scheduled for 10:20 am with Batik Air, flight number OD 293. The check-in process was smooth, and we were ready for the adventure ahead. The flight took 4 hours and 25 minutes, crossing over the stunning Indian Ocean. We landed at Velana International Airport (MLE), Male, around 1 pm local time. The view from the plane as we approached Male was breathtaking—clear blue waters and tiny islands dotting the ocean. After landing in Male, we headed to counter 13 for the Kaani Speed Boat service. China Ancient Trip, Day 1-2: Hong Kong

I was here, HK airport! We went for a holiday to China between October 18 and 28, 2013.  Our holiday often will visit at most 3 cities where we will be staying at least two nights in each place.  Historic sites, museums, landmarks, and so on are places that not only do we visit, but we will explore the best possible, given that we have the opportunity to be there. As has been said, tourists take pictures; the travelers keep the memories. :P oooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo We landed at Chek Lap Kok airport in the late Friday evening. Flight MH432 to Hong Kong took nearly 4 hours, and it has the same time zone as Malaysia. No jet lag or anything, but we still feel the fatigue of travel. Anyhow, a brisk immigration procedure at the HK airport made things easier. We had booked in advance a round-trip Vigor's shuttle bus that cost HKD $103 for 3 persons.
