I have to admit that I was among the K-drama goers back in 2002. Leaving the office early to catch the 'Winter Sonata' romance screenplay in the late evening was something that I couldn't imagine. It is a story about a young girl, Yoo-Jin, who felt for Joon-Sang, an introverted teenager. I could have made myself an introvert back then... :P
Ok, back to the Nami Island trip. It was one of the Winter Sonata's filming locations and known for its beautiful stretch of ginkgo tree lane. There were several spots specific to the location where the scenes were held, easily recognized with statues or signs that indicate it.
An entry visa fee of ₩8,000 is required to get into the Naminara Republic, and it comes with a two-way ferry ticket. It was freezing cold once we stepped onto the island. We just can't wait to explore the island. Ok... From now on, let the pictures do the talking.

And we just realized how big the island is...
We moved back to the town after spending more than 3 hours at Nami Island. We visited yet other places where the drama scenes took place.

Before sunset, we went back to our hotel and walked around the vicinity. Just after the dinner, we called it a day.
