The curtain is closing! We were on the final day of the eastern Australia trip; how time flies. Twelve days spent would certainly not be enough! Our inbound flight back home was scheduled for 9 p.m. from the Gold Coast airport. The Chemist Warehouse store is the best place to get varieties of fragrance. I obtained some items from the Windsor branch after checking out of the Terrace on Gregory apartment. Then, we decided to go back to South Bank Parkland. We visited the Queensland Museum, which mostly exhibits the cultural and natural heritage of Queensland. You can judge from the pictures below... The free admission museum also held a permanent science-related exhibition called SparkLab. A minimal fee is required for that. Does this exist? This creature called siderops kehli So... Time was apparently envious of us. We spent the evening of our second day in Brisbane visiting many interesting places in the vicinity. My wife attended the ICCAE event at the Rydges Fortitude Valley after breakfast until late afternoon. Nu'man and I contended to walk around the neighborhood. There was an old museum 100 meters away from our apartment; we were about to go sightseeing. However, I only realized later that it had once been a museum and was now home to the Queensland Youth Orchestras. The old building was lovely, though. Approaching the afternoon, I cooked for lunch. Nu'man had almost drowned that day in the swimming pool. He has gotten acquainted with the resident's kids while I watched the Winter Olympic Games held in Pyeongchang, South Korea. I got my chances to start blogging, even though I know it would take months to complete the 12-day visit to eastern Australia. The first day in Brisbane was rather packed. In the morning, we spent the drizzling day on Mount Coot-tha, 10 km to the west of CBD. The mountain is part of the Taylor Mountain Range, west of Brisbane’s city center and is a listed Heritage Site. Coot-tha is also known as One Tree Hill and the lookout point was established as early as 1918. Among the attractions we visited were the Botanic Gardens, Herbarium, Sir Thomas Planetarium, and the Cosmic Skydome. We took more than 2 hours to explore and walk through the bamboo grove and the ornamental pond and even has an outstanding Japanese garden. I regret to say that even though I brought my camera everywhere, I didn't take as many pictures as I should have. I just relied on the pictures taken by my wife and my own mobile phones.
